How to make a string heart charm decoration…

I love little heart charms and door knob decorations and I’ve been trying to think of a simple handmade project I could do and share with you.

A few weeks ago I blogged about Handmade Valentine Gifts and came across Michele’s Sunkissed Heart Wreath.

Michele’s tutorial inspired me to come up with my own string hearts, Michele uses balloons to create a hollow heart wreath but I’ve created solid heart decorations using built up cardboard, I built the cardboard up to create a 3D effect and I’ve include a tutorial on how to create your very own.

I’ve made 2 heart decorations, a smaller one as a key ring charm and a larger heart as a door knob decoration.
