I’m Moving…

I’ve decided to make the move to a self hosted blog so I can have more control over the look and feel of allthingshandmade.org.

For anyone who has subscribed by email then you don’t need to do anything, you will still receive notifications of new posts by email. It’s all my lovely wordpress.com followers that will miss out and I’m hoping that you will all visit my new site and re-subscribe so you don’t miss anything.

The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Tea Party Invitations – Free Printable

With the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee only a couple of weeks away I thought I’d share with you some invitations I have made for a tea party we are having to celebrate the Jubilee.
We enjoyed planning and creating the Mad Hatters Tea Party so much we decided to find another excuse to have another party.
I’ve also included 2 free printable invites for anyone to use, one is blank and the second can be adapted to fit your own date time and venue.
I decorated a plain white envelope with the free jubilee printable you can find on the craft beautiful website
I will keep you posted with everything we do but for now here are the invites…

Paper Clip Bookmark – Free Printable

I discovered these Free Luxury Best of British Papers in my Craft Beautiful magazine a few weeks ago and decided today I would make something with them!

I’m forever using post it notes as bookmarks so I thought I’d create something a bit more fun! I downloaded the free printable and created the bookmarks in Photoshop but they could also be made by simply printing the papers and then cutting and sticking them together??

I cut a slit in the middle of the design and simply pushed a paper clip through.

Creative button crafts….

I’ve been looking into button craft and thought I’d share with you some of my finds……. I think I might have to try them all but I especially love this cute button bookmark!

Handmade Crochet Pencil Pot Cover

I’ve just made this crochet pencil pot cover. I’m not the best crocheter in the world, but I made it by creating a circle motif the same width as a baked bean tin. Then crocheted a rectangle wide enough to fit around the diameter of a baked beans tin and finished with shell edging. I stitched them together and hey presto……….

Mad Hatters Tea Party

It seems ages since my last blog post but with the run up to the Mad Hatters Tea Party I just haven’t had time.

The party has been and gone and although the weather wasn’t perfect we still had a great time so here are some pictures from the day to share with you……

Handmade Lantern made from a Glass Jar….

It’s been a while since my last post but I’ve been busy making these cute handmade lanterns. Made from glass jars, spray paint and garden string they are really easy and inexpensive to make. With summer not to far away I think these would look great scattered around the garden with tea lights…..what do you think???

Happy Mother’s day!!!

Just a quick post to say Happy Mother’s Day and also to share with you my DIY vase. Recycled from an old tin can, brown paper and garden string I made this container for my Mother’s Day flowers. I also attached one of handmade string hearts for my mum to keep…… and this is what it looked like.

St Patrick’s Day Glass Decoration – Free Template

As it’s St Patrick’s day this Saturday I though I would make something quick and easy with a St Patrick’s day theme. So here are some four leaf clover glass decorations with a free template for you to use. I printed mine on coloured card but you could just used white or cream.

How to make a string heart charm decoration…

I love little heart charms and door knob decorations and I’ve been trying to think of a simple handmade project I could do and share with you.

A few weeks ago I blogged about Handmade Valentine Gifts and came across Michele’s Sunkissed Heart Wreath.

Michele’s tutorial inspired me to come up with my own string hearts, Michele uses balloons to create a hollow heart wreath but I’ve created solid heart decorations using built up cardboard, I built the cardboard up to create a 3D effect and I’ve include a tutorial on how to create your very own.

I’ve made 2 heart decorations, a smaller one as a key ring charm and a larger heart as a door knob decoration.
